The GoodBirth Network Operational Standards were developed by a multinational group of midwifery birth centers. The standards reflect best practices and commitments to mothers and babies.
Individual centers use the standards are as a checklist for quality assessment. Centers can benchmark its own performance and practices with a global set of peer midwifery centers. The standards may be used as a framework for education and continuous quality improvement.
The standards are grouped into three areas of operation, each of which is essential for the provision of safe and respectful care for mothers and babies.

Dignity

Quality

Community
